So I'm a week late, but our little Lucy is one month old already! It's hard to believe it's been that long already. We've decided to copy our good friends Katie and Jeremiah by taking photos of our little girl each month on her monthday. Here are a couple of her first monthday photos. A few updates for those of you far, far away. We took Lucy to the doctor last Monday because she had thrush. Thrush is a yeast that grows in babies' mouths. She also had/has a diaper rash so we took her in and got some medicine. The thrush went away in less than a day (YEA for medicine!!) but the diaper rash is still lingering, though it's not as bad as it was. We also found out that our "little" bundle of joy has gained more than 2 pounds since birth. She now weighs in at 11 pounds 8 ounces, putting her in the 97% for her age. No wonder Grandpa Van Hoose called her a little linebacker! We are excited that she is so healthy and growing so well, though part of me wants her to just stay this size forever!!

I was shocked when I read that she's a month old, I can't believe it's been that long. I love the pictures. We took pictures of Robbie on his monthday till he was a year old. I put them in a little album that he keeps with his books and looks through periodically, and says, "baby Bobby." He doesn't say the R yet. It's a fun way to keep a record of how little they once were. Keep posting pics, I love it!!
These are great; it's hard to choose a favorite but probably the one of her with her dad and the one of her with her mom. That is a very cute dress (in the other post). I just tagged you! Read the rules on my blog.
