Lucy and I had a great time yesterday at the children's museum. I hadn't been here before but remembered shopping in the little grocery store and "digging" for dinosaur bones when I was little.
We went with three friends of mine from my book club and their kids. Lucy had so much fun! We spent at least an hour in this section of the museum - the beehive.
It's got all these different places you can stick balls and you never know where they will end up after going through a bunch of different tubes.
She walked around saying "dall" (which means ball - hasn't quite gotten that b sound down yet) over and over. We were overrun by a preschool at one point and it hardly phased her - though I definitely turned into mama bear mode as one kid twice her size tried to just go over her.
We also spent a bunch of time in the "kids eye view" village. She especially loved the giant water table where she soaked her shirt before I realized they had waterproof vests the kids could wear.
Good thing I brought an extra because she would have frozen at the next place we played - the helicopter outside. She was just as interested as the boys and cried when I made her leave. Unfortunately, she was so engrossed in what she was doing that I don't have any pictures of her actually looking at me! This place was definitely made for kids - she could have played here all day long and would have if I hadn't needed a nap! :)
