I'm a little behind on posting this because: 1. Lucy was sick for her actual birthday so lots of these were taken after the fact. 2. The following week was the last week of school and was super busy. and 3. I lost the cord to hook up the camera to the computer til now and a post about kiddos without pics of the kiddos is a bit of a let down.
So, here is the first of a bunch of posts to catch up - after all, we are winding down birthday season, we have 2 year old pics and 1st monthday pics to post.

The next day was my dad's birthday and we went over to his house for dinner to celebrate his birthday (the 30th), my brother's (on the 28th), and Lucy's (the 29th). We had dinner and they surprised Lucy with this gift from them and Tyler - her first bike! Needless to say, Mommy definitely likes the color! The bike has no pedals; she is supposed to use her feet. It's to help her learn balance so that when she's ready for a real bike, she won't need training wheels. Thanks everyone! :)
Despite being sick on her birthday and having to cancel her party, we still found some fun things for our little girl to do. We got her out of the house and took her to pick out a couple of "doons" (this means balloons for those of you not fluent in Lucy). She loves these things.
Then we asked her what kind of ice cream she'd like and she said purple. Luckily, they had purple ice cream at the store - a berry blend. We also picked up a pizza and Toy Story. Then my dad and Patti came over and brought our gift to her - a little play kitchen. They also gave her some dishes for it. I am also in the process of making her an apron and hot pads.
She is liking her kitchen more now that she feels better. That night we had a movie night watching Toy Story and snuggling as a family in bed. It was a fun, cozy day for our little girl.

The dress and play kitchen are so cute! I've never seen a bike that that, but it seems like a great idea.
