Sammy had his first taste of "solids" October 9th - at just over 5 months old.
He liked the rice cereal okay that first time but hasn't wanted a bit of it since. In fact, he's not all that into solids.
He sure acts like he wants it but maybe he's decided it's not as cool as he thought it was!
He was a little more excited once we gave him some vegetables, though. So far he has had carrots, sweet potatoes, and butternut squash. Of the three, he liked sweet potatoes the best.
The thing he likes more than anything though, is playing with the spoon.
He really likes to "feed" himself.
He also prefers when someone besides Mommy feeds him - like Daddy or Lucy. Hopefully we'll get this little boy eating more and more things soon!

Great pics! Kenny and Johnny ate anything that was on the spoon, Annie and Victoria were more picky. I used to dip the spoon in the vegetables, and then in the fruit, and they took it better. As for cereal, the baby food was so watery, that I added the cereal to the jar, and that worked. You can make it thicker as they get older, only "table" food is better. Use a blender.
