Date Night

Spencer and I have been making more of an effort to have a consistent date night. Two weeks ago we had a super fun date.  We worked on a float for the Days of '47 Parade!

Our stake had been assigned to make a float and they were relying completely on volunteer help to get it done.  The float was being housed in a warehouse of a former ward member.

We showed up and they put us to work making "rolling hills" out of chicken wire and this weird green stuff. It was a bit awkward but pretty cool to see how it all turned out at the end.

We added flowers that others had already made and a few "rocks" and the look was complete!

We were pretty proud of our little nook. :)

We also added green stuff along the edge.

And we helped "mud" one of the girls that will sit on the front of the float.

I told Spencer this was the only time he'd be allowed to rub another woman's back! ;P

 I helped too.

We had a lot of fun helping out and it was cool to see it all finished at the float preview party the next week.  Pictures of that coming too.

On our way home we stopped at Coldstone and used a gift card to buy some ice cream.  We brought it home and shared with the kids.  They were big fans! :)
