Everyday Moments

I found a blog post through Pinterest one day that talked about taking your camera with you more often to capture those everyday moments. I thought, well, since we haven't been up to anything really special anyway, I should do just that. So here are some glimpses into the mundane, not so special, special everyday moments we've had the last little while.

Three times a year, we are asked to help clean our church.

This time I brought the camera along and the kids were finally both big enough and willing to help.

They dusted and played while Spencer and I vacuumed.

We do a lot of coloring in our house.  Here Lucy is coloring a picture off the Internet of Tangled.

And I think Sammy had one of Mickey.

Lucy spends a lot of time with our neighbors, especially Belen.  They are good buddies!

We made yummy chocolate & butterscotch chip cookies one day.

Lucy wore her super cute apron. (I wish I had one just like it!)

Baking is a bunch of fun with the kids - they love pouring things in and turning on the mixer.

And of course, they love sampling!

We did a little impromptu photo shoot as well.

I thought this expression was hilarious!

We tried something new - Q-tip painting.  The kids liked it and it was a bit less messy.

I love it when these two just play and pretend together.  They do it a lot in the mornings. On this day they were pretending their cars were sleeping.

My mom gave us passes to Discovery Gateway for Christmas so I took the kids one morning.  It was fun to play with these toys especially.  Lucy caught on to how to make the different shapes really well.

And Sammy loved the water table.

Another place we frequent is the library.

On this trip the kids really wanted to stop and read some of their books before we took them home.

Amazon has become my new favorite store.  One day this gigantic box arrived on our doorstep carrying 96 rolls of toilet paper inside! The kids had fun playing in it until the next recycling day.  They pretended it was a bathtub here.

Another morning of playtime.  They were playing "beach" and reading their tag books (love those things!)

I've been on more of a sewing kick lately.  This was my first recent project - a "pirate" skirt for Lucy.  It turned out pretty cute, if I do say so myself!
