Lions and Tigers and Elephants!

 I got to go to the zoo not once, but twice, in September!

The first time was with Lucy's class on the second grade field trip.

This was our little group of girls.

The lions were super cool. 

The zoo has changed a lot in the past few years. It's neat to see the changes and improvements.

We learned about different animals, including these elephants, from docents around the zoo.

We also got to attend a class where we learned about animal adaptations.

They have "Zoorasic Park" going on now and they loved this water spitting velociraptor.

There are also a ton of places throughout for good photo ops. :)

The very next week I got to go again! This time was with this handsome guy on the kindergarten field trip.

Our little group. This one was a bit harder to keep together than the bigger kids!

We got to spend the whole time looking at animals instead of part of it in a class.

Instead, we had a few papers to fill out - a scavenger hunt of animals. :)

Sammy's class. His teacher, Mrs. Ruzzi, is great!

His best buddy, Simon, has afternoon kindergarten so we don't get to see him as often but all the kindergartens went at the same time so they got to hang out a bit at the zoo.

And they both had fun riding on the school bus together for the first time!
