July 4th

As usual, during our NICU days, I came home in the early afternoon of July 4th to spend some time with the kids. We had some fun on this day!

We filled up a bunch of water balloons and had a water fight.

It was a lot of fun and a wonderful stress reliever.

After so many days of worrying and such, Joey was going to be coming home the next day, it was beautiful out, and we had lots to smile about.

The kids also put together this old puzzle of Spencer's while I was at the hospital. They were so proud to show me.

After dinner, I headed back to the hospital to feed Joey. Then he did his car seat test again - this time with oxygen. He passed. If he hadn't, we'd have had to rent a car bed to take him home in.

Then the kids and Spencer and Mom came to the hospital and we enjoyed the nearby fireworks.

Lucy had made Mom, Eliza, her, and me bracelets for the holiday - her own design. It was a nice day filled with hope and love.
