Everyday Moments June

Yay for summer! Most of these pictures were taken on my new phone - my first smart phone and my birthday present. Consequently, they are completely out of order, but they are still awesome, so enjoy!

Near the end of the month, I won 2 tickets to an event at the Jordan Valley Garden Park. It's this really cool place that has different gardens to teach you about lawns and trees and flowers that grow well in Utah. They also have classes and such. They had an event with dinner, a comedian, classes, dessert, a craft, and a live band playing old music.

We had a much needed date night and it was so much fun. :)

My mom loves to spoil the kids with new clothes and she goes overboard especially at their birthdays. This outfit is one of Eliza's new ones. Isn't it adorable?!

One of my callings is the Stake Girls Camp Assistant Director. It is my dream calling. These other two ladies are the other assistant, Becky, and the Director, Angie. I have grown to love these two women and I am so excited to plan another camp with them for next year. This year was fun but I ended up having to leave for two days of it because of a miscarriage scare. I was so disappointed! But I had a great time while I was there.

Getting ready for girls camp was a ton of work. One of the activities we did included a bunch of candy - more than $50 worth! The kids had fun "helping" with that one!

Just a fun selfie with the kiddos!

Lucy got two Lego sets for her birthday from Nana. This one was a Rapunzel set,

It was surprisingly fun to put together with her. :)

Isn't this adorable? Spencer caught the three of them reading together one afternoon.

Playing with Play-dough.

Eliza has figured out how to pull out the drawers and climb in the bottom one. Oh joy!

Selfie with the hubby!

For girls camp, we asked everyone to take a selfie for an activity we did while we were there. This was the first solo selfie I think I've taken since I was 17. It was a strange thing to do for me but I think it turned out pretty cute.

The second week of June, we went to a Frozen party at the library. There were games and treats, and, to Lucy's delight, Elsa! She was super excited to meet her.

My dad and Patti took the kids camping up Big Cottonwood Canyon one night at the beginning of June. While they were there, they collected rocks to make a tic tac toe board. This is something Tyler and I did with Dad when we were kids. Lucy and Sammy loved doing it and have played with it lots since.

Daddy and Eliza while we were out to eat one day.

More Legos - this one is a Brave themed set.

Each morning we have a set routine - we do homework/learning time for 20-30 minutes, followed by chores for about a half hour. Once chores and homework are done, we can do something fun.  Lots of these photos are pictures of the fun things. This is one we did one day. We took a big box and turned it into a castle. It was lots of fun and the kids still play with it.

Eliza found the baker's twine one day!

Her first sucker - from the bank. It was such a mess but she loved it so much!

Library time!

Another "fun thing." We made mats to play with play-dough.

And one day we headed to the fountain at the mall to cool down. Ahh, summertime! :)

I love that you have a smartphone!! It gives you the opportunity to capture so many more candid moments. I love the selfie of you, and all the ones with Spencer. So cute!!
