We did soccer this year again and this time it was a bit more complicated, as Sammy played too. He was in a different age bracket, so we had a bit of schedule juggling to do.
Lucy's team was neon green this year. She was super aggressive and made her first goal this year!
This was also the first year they played with a goalie. I think she preferred to be running after the ball, though.
Sammy had a similar reaction to soccer as Lucy did when she was three. The first game he got on the field, played for a few minutes, and when someone cheered for him, he stopped, stood in the middle of the field and started to cry. That was the end of that game for him.
It took a bit of coaxing to get him into playing but he had a good time when he did.
Spencer was the coach for Sammy's team, the Dolphins, and most of the kids on the team were from our neighborhood. It was fun to watch them.
My favorite thing about watching Lucy play is watching her run. That girl can run!
Overall, it was a successful season. Both kids got treats each game and a trophy at the end, so as far as they were concerned, it was awesome!
