Lucy's birthday was on a Thursday this year - the same day of the week she was born on! It was also her first day of summer, as the kindergartners got out a bit earlier than everyone else.
She opened presents from us at breakfast. She got an Elsa doll.
And this My Little Pony toy. I bought this at Christmas time last year and have been storing it away since. In February, she came home from the toy store one day and was so upset because she found a toy she wanted so badly and she just knew she could never have it. It was this toy. It took everything I had to not tell her it was sitting in a box in the basement!
Needless to say, she was pretty excited to unwrap it!
Spencer was playing around with her and told her this is how he held her on the day she was born. It was pretty cute. :)
My dad stopped by that afternoon with this lovely gift. I love how he decorates the gifts he gives.
This was inside. :) Lucy also got some barbies from her Van Hoose grandparents and some princess Lego's from Nana Manwill.
We had her "Frozen" themed party that afternoon and the kids decorated tote bags.
This was her simple but well-received cake.
We also had a "snowball" fight! I made the snowballs out of nylons and flour.
The kids had a blast!

Isn't she beautiful?

Lucy wanted Spencer to dress up as Prince Hans (why he always gets to be the bad guy, I don't know!) and he convinced Sammy to be Kristoff. Aren't they handsome?!
