Summer Fun, Part 1 (June)

Yay for summer! And yay for having Daddy home to help entertain the big kids while Mommy recovered from birthing a beautiful baby girl!

Both Lucy and Sammy got new dress ups for their birthdays - this time in a super hero theme. They really like playing dress up together and I get a kick out of the ensembles they put together - especially Sammy.

Spencer took them to Discovery Gateway a couple of times.

They always love going there.

I love it too because there are so many different things to do there that it takes the kids quite a while to get bored.

Sammy likes building things in the construction area.

Lucy loves these flowers.

And they have a new area with these giant tinker toys.  They are made of some kind of really light foam and it's neat to see what the kids come up with.

One afternoon, Spencer did something awesome. He sent my bestie, Ashley, and I out for lunch while he took care of all our kiddos.  He's got all 6 of them - aged 5 and under - here eating lunch (or chillin' in a swing/chair). We had a great time visiting sans kids and he survived a couple of hours with a 5 year old, two 3 year olds, an almost 2 year old, and two babies - 6 months, and 1 month. Superman lives at my house! :)

My first physical outing was at the end of June. We got out of the heat and headed up to Little Cottonwood Canyon and the Temple Quarry Trail.

We brought a picnic lunch and had a little hike up the path and around the rocks.

It was so nice to get out of the house and to be able to start moving my body again!

Sure love these two!

Miss Eliza loves her baths in the sink. Isn't she a cutie?

And Lucy and Sammy can't get enough of her!

I just loved this picture of my little man! He is so handsome!
