A few moments from July:
Our tiger lilies took off this year! There were at least 60 of them and they crowded out some of the other flowers. I'll be separating and giving some away this fall!
Getting up early to go running in the mornings has its rewards! One of them? Beautiful sunrises!
Sammy is very into Star Wars books right now - thank goodness for the library!
Lazy summer days!
For the Forth of July we had a potluck at our house with some friends and then went to Nana Manwill's house to watch the fireworks from Sugarhouse Park.
We discovered the pigeon books at the library - they are adorable!
A crazy summer rainstorm called for swimsuits. :)
A common sight this summer - light saber fights!
We had a ward BBQ at the bishop's in-laws pool in Sandy.
There were lots of friends and yummy food to be had.
We had a great time!
Playing with her new bubble gun.
Every morning we do homework, reading, and chores. This is one of Lucy's favorite places to read.
What a big girl! Swinging at Nana's.
The children's museum at Thanksgiving Point has an outdoor area we've never played at so we checked it our one morning. There's a pond with a bunch of koi fish.
There's also this fun play structure. We called it the web.
Sammy liked this bear. We were looking forward to playing at the cool splash pad but discovered it had been taken out. :( We were seriously disappointed.
So we went to the old reliable splash pad at Valley Fair the next day. :)
What it looks like when all three kids want to play on the same toy.
Lucy lost her front two teeth this summer, very slowly. After she lost the first one, the second one just kind of hung on one strand right in the middle of her mouth for another 4-5 days. It was kind of hilarious. :)
While Grandpa and Nana Mac were away on their trips, their garden needed harvesting.
We picked a bowl full of strawberries and grape tomatoes and a few peppers.
Sammy finished Upstart - a free online preschool. We loved having him do it all year and I think it really helped get him ready for school.
More fun at the splash pad. Eliza isn't such a fan of the water. She and Rory decided to sunbathe instead. :)
Our little car had some issues this summer. Spencer worked hard trying to get it fixed and we eventually had to take it in to the shop. Luckily, it wasn't terribly expensive to fix.
Fun hairdo!
We've been doing a program called Play Unplugged this summer. The kids do little activities and then we go pick up tags from different businesses around the valley. Some of them give the kids some other goodies too - like this free ice cream from Dickies.
While I was at Girls Camp, Spencer and the kids had a movie night in the basement.
He did a great job with the kids by himself. What a good daddy!
