Yay for summer! Here's a glimpse into our month, minus our big trip!
At the beginning of the month, I went and helped with field day at the school. Sammy brought some Legos with him and was entertained all morning.
Eliza followed me around and hung out in the stroller.
After school on the last day we went and played at the park, where Lucy loves climbing in the trees.
The next day was my birthday and we went out to Texas Roadhouse for dinner as a family.
I had the ribs and they were amazing!
After dinner, the kids stayed with Grandma Van Hoose and Spencer and I went to see the new Avengers movie. We both like it, of course!
We spent many evenings reading on the back porch after the kids went to bed - isn't summer grand!
We got Sammy all set up in his new room. It's been so much better with the kids in different rooms - less fighting!
Spencer made this awesome planter for the back yard. We need to get a sprinkler line in for it though - most of the plants died. :(
On his birthday we decided to go to a baseball game. As we were walking to the ticket office someone offered us some extra tickets he had - in a suite! It was awesome! There were free drinks and snacks and the view was great. And did I mention it was free?!
Selfie in the seats!
Soccer ended and they received their coveted trophies!
Group picture outside the church as we waited for Daddy.
We only made it to one library program this summer but it was a good one!
They had a bunch of animals and taught us about them and then let the kids pet some of them - like this giant rabbit!
Eliza liked the hedgehog too.
Lucy helping make strawberry jam.
Yummy chocolate at Grandma and Grandpa Van Hoose's house on Father's Day.
We also spent a fair amount of time at the splash pad!
