Sammy decided he wanted a Star Wars party for his birthday this year. Since his birthday was on a Sunday, we did it the Friday before.
As the kids arrived, they played with sidewalk chalk out front. Then we handed each one a light saber made from a pool noodle and tape as they walked in the door.
Inside they found an army of storm troopers! No worries though, these Jedi's knew just what to do!
Here they all are posing with their weapons!
Then we had cake - an R2D2 cake to be exact!
It was a hit! It was also gigantic! We only ate his arms and there were about 10 people there.
Next they fought Darth Vader.
Then presents. He got lots of Legos, TMNT stuff, and other fun toys.
Finally, we needed to destroy the Death Star!
Mission accomplished! This was my first paper mache project I can remember doing. It was good but a bit weak. Next time, I'll just buy the sucker!
Taking one last stab!
We invited our friends the Gauses. They were able to come down from Logan and the Lucy's were especially excited to play!
On his actual birthday, we gave him his presents in the morning before church.
I think he was a little excited. Maybe just a little. ;)
He got so many Legos! This was the big set we gave him. It's from his favorite scene in the movies and he was pretty excited.
That evening we had family over for dinner and cake. These are the Utah boy cousins.
And the Utah girl cousins. :)
