On Saturday we took things a bit easier. We started with a walk through downtown Cody.
My grandparent's apartment is only a couple of blocks and it was a nice walk.
There are these bison sculptures everywhere painted in different crazy ways. You can actually bid on them and they'll ship them to you at the end of the summer. How funny would that be?! Where would I put it? The UPS guy would hate me. And, wouldn't it be hilarious to have this in your yard?!
We walked to the city park where they had a little mini-golf course.
It's been awhile since we've played and it was nice to get out and do something active - ish.
That afternoon, Grandma got out Tiominoes and taught the big kids how to play. They love this game now! I love how it gets them doing mental math. :)
Eliza thoroughly enjoyed her watermelon.;) We took my grandparents out for pizza that night and Grandpa and I walked over to see the "shoot-out" they do in the street every night. It was crazy cheesy but fun.
This is how we found the kids the last morning! We slept so much better when we all had a bit more space at Grandma and Grandpa's. Camping for 3 nights was perfect and it was so nice to visit with my grandparents. I spent every evening chatting and reading with them. I think I got my love of reading from them.
Sunday morning we went to church with my grandparents and then hopped in the car for the ride home. I even jumped in the back at one point and watched Tangled with the kids. It was really comfortable! We had a blast on our big trip for the summer!
