Lucy turned 19 months Tuesday.
I swear the past month only took a week to happen! She's as lively as ever! She's added "Nana" to her vocal vocabulary and has picked a favorite movie.
The girl could watch "Ratatouille" all day long if we'd let her.
She'll do the sign for mouse and then whine if we tell her no - which brings us to the other "fun" thing she's learned well - tantrums. Gotta love it! Parenting is such an adventure!
We've just started to get her sleeping in her toddler bed - three nights so far. She's doing pretty well but it's an adjustment.
We'd like to get her used to it well before the baby comes.
Which brings us to the second part of this post - Number 2's blog debut! We also had our ultrasound Tuesday, and we got some great pictures
(as far as ultrasound pictures can be great:). The doctor said everything looks healthy and well, so that was great news. 
We were able to see the heart and it's four chambers beating, as well as the spine and (just about) everything else. 
This is a pic of the feet for those of you wondering. The heels are at the left and the toes at the right. And no, we didn't find out if it's a girl or a boy. You'll all have to wait till the baby's born next May! :)

Lucy wasn't sure what to think of him so Spencer had the good idea to sit and have her watch the other kids sit on his lap and smile and have fun - to hopefully get her in the mindset that this would be fun. Unfortunately, didn't quite work. 
She wasn't too keen on sitting on his lap, though she would gladly take candy from him and she was intrigued by his bells! 
We decided to get a family pic too with the man in red and his assistant while we were there.

She was so excited that her little body couldn't handle it - she actually danced in place! It was super cute! I'm excited for this Christmas with her - last year was fun but I think this year will be even better. Anyway, Lucy is a bundle of energy. 
She runs and climbs and runs some more. She jabbers all the time and says "mama" and "daddy" a ton. She has added a bunch of signs too - rainbow, car, train, thank you... I really should make a running list of these. 
It's been neat to see her pick things up. She's also learned a bunch of different body parts and loves to point them out on other people and now the cat - he's so patient with her as she's poking his eye out!! 
We are working on the "gentle" idea. Now that she's officially old enough to go to nursery, she's scared of it. Go figure. Any ideas on how to get her not to cry/freak out/cling? Send them our way! 
At her 18 month appointment, she is finally evening out. She's 22 lbs. 15 oz. (29%) and 32 inches tall (49%) and everything looks good! She also got two more teeth - up to 14 now, only 6 to go. 
We love our big little girl!
Thankfully, I felt better Saturday so we all got dressed up, took some photos, and showed off for Lucy's grandparents. Then Spencer and I took her trick or treating down our street. She loved it! It was so cute to see her take a piece of candy and place it in her bucket. 
She'd keep going until we stopped her. When we got home she immediately plopped on the floor, dumped out her loot, and started to sort through it. It was super cute! 
Then we spent a nice evening at home handing out our candy. Every time kids would come to the door, Lucy would get upset that she couldn't go with them. I think we'll need to go more next year!
We got her a new car seat - she's facing forward now - and she loves to play with the box. First she drew all over it and now she likes to play peekaboo in it and just take toys inside to play. We know what her favorite presents will be for Christmas, don't we?! 
She still isn't talking much, though she's added no to her vocabulary. She has picked up a ton of signs though. Lucy's learned apple, bear, shoes, socks, train, and ball. It's fun to watch her learn and use new signs. 
We've decided to start weaning her from the binky. She's not too excited about the idea and some days it's a bit rough, but we're working on it! 
This month's photo shoot was done by Spencer. He did a great job, don't you think? I've been sick in bed for the past week :( and they went out to the park to get out of the house. 
She's starting to become more of a Daddy's Girl which is actually pretty cute. 
She has discovered the many cards in my wallet and loves to arrange them in her hands, then set them down one by one on the table, then pick them up and start all over again. She also loves to empty and fill containers. She can be occupied moving her crayons from a cup to their box over and over again. It's really fascinating to watch. 
She is also becoming more assertive with what she wants and doesn't want. She says something to the effect of Yeah-Yeah for yes, and though she doesn't say No (thankfully!) she does emphatically shake her head when she doesn't want something. She's still not talking much though she has learned a few more signs. 
She's added baby, girl, caterpillar, and candy (just in time for Halloween!) to her signing vocabulary. I'm hoping her spoken words will catch up soon. She is sleeping much better through the night now (everyone knock on wood for me!). We decided to finally let her cry it out a bit and that has helped. 
We took her to her 15 month check up today (yeah, a month late, I know). The doctor said she looks super healthy. However, she weighed in at only 21 lbs. 15 oz. putting her in the 27% which wouldn't be worrisome except that she spent all of last year in the 95-98%. So we had to get her blood drawn :(. 
The results came back totally normal though so she's just fine. She's 31 inches tall (57%) and her head is still nice a big!! 
This pregnancy has been harder in some ways (having Lucy around) and easier in some (not teaching 33 10 year olds every day). We are looking forward to adding to our family. Oh, and we are not planning on finding out the gender, just like we did with Lucy. :)
