It's Fall Ya'll!

Every fall for the past four years, we've spent an evening up at Silver Lake, enjoying the beautiful fall colors and crisp mountain air.

This year did not disappoint!

 

Lucy and I had yet another impromptu photo shoot.

We saw pretty yellow, red, brown, and orange colors. The way they reflected in the lake was super cool.

A friendly fisherman offered to take our photo as a family but Lucy wasn't too happy about that.

 

There were lots of ducks too.  They didn't let you come right up to them but they did let you get pretty close. The kiddos loved that.

They had fun walking along the boardwalk but there was also a bit of whining.  That's why I love Silver Lake so much for the kids - it's flat and relatively easy and short so the whining only lasts so long.

Playtime at the Park

September is one of my absolute favorite months of the year because the weather is quite literally perfect!

A couple of weeks ago we decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and headed over to Murray Park for a picnic.

I brought the camera along and we snapped quite a few pictures. I was even in a few of them for a change. ;)

I have a whole series of photos of Lucy "posing" in front of this tree.  Her poses lately just crack me up! But hey, at least she's smiling for the photos, right?

Lucy was so excited to swing on this tire swing but once she finally got a turn, she didn't like it much.
