Sammy 22 Months

When we get to the 19, 20, 21 months, etc... posts I start to feel a bit redundant.  Although Sammy is growing and learning every day, it's not as noticeable as it was when he was a wee thing.  

So, Sammy at 22 months is much the same as he was at 21 months - pretty stinkin' cute and amazing!!

He learns new phrases and words almost every day.  He loves Lucy and loves to do whatever she is doing.  He hates when she leaves for Joy School.

He runs and plays and gets into mischief.  He loves his Mommy like crazy, and he thinks his Daddy is pretty great too.

We have been spending lots of time outside lately as the weather has been beautiful and we've been working on projects in the garage.  

He loves to run around out there, play on his trike and truck toys and play with a plastic bat and balls.

Another fun thing Sammy started to do this month is steal Spencer's shoes each morning as he's trying to put them on.  He thinks he is absolutely hilarious when he grabs a shoe and takes off with it.  And I have to say, it is pretty entertaining. :)

Lucy 3 3/4 Years Old

At the end of February, on leap day in fact, Lucy hit the 3 3/4 mark.  She is such a fun little person to be around now (at least most of the time! Although, can't we say that about anyone, no matter the age?).

She loves joy school still and just soaks up the learning.  She loves to play with the letters in her bathtub and spell out words.  I will tell her the letters to get and she spells them out.

One day she was playing with some magnet letters on the fridge and she figured out the O and K spell OK.  She was pretty excited about that.

She also loves to play dress up.  On any given day she may be a princess, a fairy, or even a fairy princess. Can you tell she likes princesses?

Another way she likes to spend the time is by doing "birthday parties" for her animals or any of us.  She'll decorate and serve us cake. It's pretty cute.

She loves going to Primary now too - being with the other kids, learning, and especially singing.  We've started reading the illustrated Book of Mormon with her at night and she hates when we put it down.

She has been taking dance but has decided to quit and try something new.  This was kind of hard for me to deal with.  Not that I really care that much about dance or anything - just, do I let my kid just quit? And, on the other hand, I don't want to make my kid do anything she doesn't want to. So, after giving it another month to make sure she really didn't want to do it anymore, she's done. Some other kids in the neighborhood are doing soccer so she decided to join them.  We start the middle of April. Should be a fun new adventure!
