Eliza 18 Months

18 Months!!

This little munchkin is everywhere these days! She loves to run around, especially sans clothing right before her bath!

She adores her big brother and sister and they love playing with her. In fact, they are usually the ones to get her out of her crib in the morning.

She still loves her fingers and her belly and now she can point to many different body parts - head, hair, nose, tongue, mouth, hands, belly, bum, feet, and toes. She still isn't really talking - just saying Mama but she understands so much and can communicate with us by pointing and other body gestures.

At her 18 month check up she weighed 20 lbs 6 oz (4%) and measured 26 in (10%). She's still our little runt! :)

Decorating the Tree

Our Black Friday tradition is to clean the house top to bottom and then to decorate for Christmas.

It may not be as fun as shopping but it is sure a nice way to start the holiday season - with a clean house!

The kids loved decorating the tree.

They did most of it. Then Eliza undecorated the bottom half! :) She moved to fast to get a decent picture. Oh well!

Our pretty tree. :)

Everyday Moments November

A few captured moments from November:

One morning while I was getting dressed it seemed extra quiet out in the main living area. After going to investigate, this is the scene I found! Little stinker!

The big kids love making cards and drawing.

One weekend I got strep throat - not fun. Lucy made this sweet card for me. I love seeing her figure out spelling.

Eliza loves helping with laundry. She gets mad if I don't let her put the clothes in.

I learned some new hairdos from the pinners conference and tried this one out on Lucy's hair. :)

One day while Sammy and Lucy were at school, Eliza and I stopped at the library. I love how much she loves books.

Gotta love the crazy get ups she comes up with!

Feeling pretty and trying out a "sock bun" before a date night to Hale Centre Theatre with Spencer one night.

Lucy and I had a girls' day out on afternoon. We attended a crafting class at JoAnn and she made this cute scarf.

Then we went to Kneaders and had some yummy desserts.

Raking the leaves. It's been such a warm fall and winter that we didn't get around to this until the 28th and there still wasn't snow.

Our little "big" helper. :)

The big kids got to help out with grocery shopping one day. Smiths has these carts and they love them!

Lucy brought home this project from school. I love it because I got my own feather!

I was supposed to take Sammy on a date but got sick so Spencer took him to Discovery Gateway.

This kid loves that place!

I think Daddy had fun helping him out too. :)

I won two VIP tickets to a weekend long conference at the beginning of November. It was the Pinners Conference and there were booths and classes about all sorts of things. I took Ashley and we had a great time!

Eliza 17 Months Old

This little adorable nugget turned 17 months at the beginning of November.

She is still as happy as ever but has learned to express her will as well - she can get her wants across without talking - she just points and grunts!

Sometimes she'll throw in the sign for milk to let us know she wants something.

Eliza loves to play with her baby dolls, with her big brother, and sister, and with Mommy and Daddy.

She loves climbing on the table and counter and pretty much anything else she can climb on!

And, as you can tell from the pictures, she loves sweets! If it's sweet, she's all over it!

Everyday Moments October

A few snapshots from our month:

Sammy and I had fun taking some selfies with the phone camera.

Adorable Miss Eliza playing in the front room.

Lucy dressing up. We did an entire photo shoot with these flowers. This was my favorite.

It was beautiful weather still, so we took advantage of it one afternoon at the park.  Eliza loved swinging with Daddy pushing her from the ground.

Lucy has discovered the joys of photography with my phone. She took this one and I love how it shows what Eliza's hair usually looks like!

One night Spencer and I played Yahtzee, just for fun. I got the best score I have ever had - thanks to three (3!!!) Yahtzees!

I took on the challenge of making Eliza's Olaf costume for Halloween this year. I took a pattern and modified it so the skirt was a bubble skirt. It was quite the challenge! I thought this step was so funny - check out all those pins!
