What We've Been Up To

I just realized I haven't posted much lately. So I thought I'd share some photos of things we've been up to the past couple of months.

Back in January, my Grandpa Mac dropped this cute table and chairs off. He made it all by hand for my kids. Lucy's still a bit small for it but she's had a lot of fun anyway. I'm sure as she gets bigger, it will get used more and more. Thanks Grandpa!


February 5th I took Lucy swimming for the first time. We went with my mother-in-law, two sister-in-laws and their kids. It was a lot of fun. She loved the water! She kicked her legs and waved her arms, looking like a frog. Spencer and I took her again in March and it looks like she'll be a little fish just like her daddy!

Lucy loves Pretty Kitty (yes, that's HIS name). She loves him a little too much sometimes, I'm afraid!

Our cat loves boxes. Give him a room full of furniture and laps and he will still choose the box. Weird.

Last weekend I got to go to my first ever Scrapbook Expo. It was super fun to spend time with the girls and actually start on my scrapbook pages for Lucy. Although there is seriously not enough parking there. What were they thinking having one parking lot for three different events all at the same place at the same time? Seriously!

Role Reversal :)

Spencer and Lucy invented a new game. Instead of Daddy feeding Lucy, Lucy feeds Daddy. Here's a cute video of it:

9 Months Old!

Our little girl is 9 months old! It seems like just a couple of days since I posted that she was 8. The time really does fly - and so would Lucy if she could! She is so busy these days. She's mastered crawling and loves to roam around the house. We have learned to keep things off the floor and that we need to vaccuum more often. We've also had to babyproof because she loves to get into everything! She's getting really good at pulling herself up and has started to cruise (walk while holding onto something like the coffee table or couch). She "talks" up a storm and prefers to feed herself. She's eating lots of finger foods now. She had her 9 month appointment on Monday and it was her favorite so far - no shots!! We also found out her growth is slowing down - she weighed in at 19 lbs 10 oz and her height is 28 in. putting her in the 67%. It must be all that crawling! Where she still struggles is her sleeping. It actually seems to be getting worse if you can believe it. She woke up 6 times last night. We are working on teaching her better habits so hopefully by the next monthday post, I'll have good news to report! Love you all and enjoy the pics! (Our photo shoots are getting harder and harder the older she gets! Plus, how did I let Spencer talk me into taking her picture in that shirt?! I don't know - must be love :)
