Fall Family Photos

So back in October a good friend of mine got married and a mutual friend of ours came into town from Texas. Bonnie is an excellent photographer and I asked her to take some photos of our little family. She did a great job with what we gave her - an onery, headstrong child to photograph! Lucy was anything but cooperative but between our two short sessions (one at 8 am on a Sunday - Bonnie is amazing!), we got a few shots that turned out pretty good. Take a look!

"2nd Star on the Right, then Straight on til Morning"

Peter Pan, Wendy, and Tinkerbell showed up at our house for Halloween this year!

It was fun to dress up together and much easier than last year, as we planned way in advance. I saw a cute thing on t.v. last April on how to make these cute tutus and decided then that Lucy would be Tinkerbell. My mom ended up making the tutu and I made Spencer's shirt and hat. The rest of the items were collected from the dollar store and DI throughout the year - homemade costumes are the best!

Unfortunately, I came down with a cold and then sinus infection this past week so I didn't get in on most of the Halloween fun, but Spencer and Lucy went to our ward Halloween party. Spencer said she did great with all the fun games they had for the little kids. Lucy and I missed out on the parade at school and we all skipped a party on Friday. Thankfully, I felt better Saturday so we all got dressed up, took some photos, and showed off for Lucy's grandparents. Then Spencer and I took her trick or treating down our street. She loved it! It was so cute to see her take a piece of candy and place it in her bucket. She'd keep going until we stopped her. When we got home she immediately plopped on the floor, dumped out her loot, and started to sort through it. It was super cute! Then we spent a nice evening at home handing out our candy. Every time kids would come to the door, Lucy would get upset that she couldn't go with them. I think we'll need to go more next year!
