Eliza's Blessing

 We had Eliza's blessing on August 4th. We had a bunch of friends and family come to church with us. It was nice to look around and see the love they have for us.

 

 

Spencer blessed her.  Great-Grandpa Mac, Grandpa Van Hoose, Uncle Aaron, Great-Uncle Lenny, (hopefully future uncle) Zach Gerber, Ryan Smith, Sam Grigg, and Drew Dangerfield were all in the circle as well.

 

 

 

Afterward, we played hooky from the rest of church and headed home where we visited and had a yummy brunch.

 

 

 

 

It was a lot of fun to visit with everyone and I had a great time hanging out with my friends til pretty late in the afternoon.

 

 

 

 

Miss Eliza wore the same outfit her big sister did - and the same outfit her Mommy did! My mom made it for me when I was blessed as a baby. It was a really nice day. :)

Eliza's 2 months old!

Miss Eliza is 2 months old!

 

She is a super happy baby and has started to smile. She loves to just stare at us, especially her Mommy and if she likes what she sees, she'll grace you with a smile. :)

 

She has discovered her hands and will occasionally suck on them if we aren't quick enough with milk or if she's tired.  That's also the only time she will sometimes take the binky.

 

She's growing like crazy too, as you can see from the extra rolls.

Her 2 month check up was yesterday and she weighed in at 13 lbs. 10 oz. (97%) so she is right on track with her big brother and sister!

 

She's also grown a bit to 22.5 inches. (57%)

 

She is getting pretty good at holding up her head and is our best sleeper so far! She has started sleeping in 5-7 hour stretches once a night. She is also taking a bottle! I pump and Spencer feeds her once during the night. It's so nice to be able to get a bit more sleep. We are sure glad this little bug is in our lives! :)
