The Whole Van Hoose Fam-dam-ly!

Spencer has a fairly large family.

He is smack dab in the middle of 7 kids.  The first 4 have married and reproduced so that there are now 15 grandkids (and 1 more on the way!).

In all the time we've been dating or married, his entire family has never all been in the same place at the same time. Until, that is, June 10, 2013!

His older brother Dennis and his family are the only ones that don't live in Salt Lake right now - they live in a suburb of Phoenix.

They were in town for a couple of days and we all got together for a BBQ.

Here are 5 of the granddaughters - everyone except the oldest, Shelby, and the youngest, Eliza!

Lucy after the yummy cupcakes!

Seth was given the responsibility of holding Eliza for the grandkid photos.  He then mimicked her funny faces.

It was so much fun to see the cousins playing together and the siblings hanging out and playing games with each other and the oldest nephews and nieces.

We also got a group shot of all the grandkids - with as many looking as possible.

And a whole group shot of all 28 of us!

Seth informed us the "V" was for "Van Hoose." :)

Eliza's One Month Old!

I know I always say this about my kids, but it's always true! I can't believe how fast time goes by. Eliza is one month old already.

We have absolutely loved having her in our family already!

She is doing everything a new baby is supposed to do - eat, sleep, poop, repeat!  Her sleeping habits are pretty normal - waking to eat every 3ish hours through the night. You don't know true exhaustion until you've had a newborn!

At her two week appointment she was the same length but her weight had gone up a bit to 9 lbs 3 oz.

Lucy and Sammy both adore her.  They love to talk to her and play with her and sing to her - especially Lucy.

My friend Ashley takes picture of her kids every month during their first year next to the same stuffed animals, so I thought I'd copy her. :)

I love this picture! Eliza has shown a few smiles here and there though I'm sure they aren't in response to us just quite yet. We are sure happy to have her here!
