We took a couple of opportunities to get out of the house and have some fun last month. The first was a total success - my kids' first introduction to Chuck E Cheese.
Hillary and her family were coming up for the weekend and had promised their kids a trip to the famous mouse and invited us to tag along.
The kids had a ton of fun on the riding toys.
After awhile I talked them into checking out the arcade.
They loved the driving game (which still played, thankfully, even though they couldn't reach the pedals!), and there was even a little love shown to my favorite game - skeeball.
We also enjoyed some decent pizza and time spent with friends.
We also enjoyed our yearly free trip to the zoo on the last Wednesday of the month. It was crazy! This was the third year we've gone and there were easily 3 times as many people there as there have been in the past. We went with my friend Jenn and her two little cuties.
There was a new exhibit (Rocky Shores) that was pretty cool and it was fun to visit with Jenn but honestly, this outing was not so much fun. The kids were ornery and cold and tired. I took a very nice nap when we got home after this one!
