Summer Fun, Part 2 (July)

Summer just flies by in the Van Hoose household. Here are a few glimpses into the fun we had in July.

This pretty much sums up what Eliza did! Slept and got carried around as we went about our lives. Lucy thought it was pretty funny when I added her to a load of laundry ready to come upstairs.

In an effort to get our house cleaner, and our kids more responsible, we made chore charts.

The kids helped with the painting. They were a hit at first and are still working pretty well.

Our sad, sad yard needed a little TLC. Here's Spencer and Sammy sprucing it up a bit!

For the past 3 years we've gone to the Days of '47 Float Preview Party.

We love seeing the floats up close, in air conditioning. Sure beats the actual parade! This one was our favorite.

My mom, grandma, and Aunt Kay met us there and my mom stood in line for the kids to get their faces painted. Sammy opted for a spider on his arm.

And Lucy got a pretty butterfly.

Here's a cute one of Eliza. Because you were missing out on her, weren't you? ;)

And last, but not least, there was a whole lot of playing going on. Block building, being a favorite!  The kids also had their first swimming lessons at the nearby pool where we also had a pass. They did ok with the lessons and it was a good opportunity for them to get used to the water. We also took them swimming a couple of times but never thought to bring the camera!
