Lucy's teacher this year is a friend of Tyler's from school (they even have the exact same birthday!) and she is a former student of my dad's. When Lucy came home from school one day saying she was going to learn about rocks, I knew he'd be excited.
He does a program in Murray called Kids Teaching Kids and he thought it'd be so cool to bring it to Lucy's school. So he talked to his principal and Lucy's teacher, and made it happen!
He brought a class full of 8th graders to come teach the rock cycle to the 2nd graders at Truman.
Eliza and I got to watch during part of it. They had so much fun and it was neat to have Grandpa Mac there!
